Post-operative rules of conduct
- Apply cool packs or a cold towel to the treated areas for five to ten minutes immediately after treatment.
- Take anti-inflammatory medications if you experience pain or discomfort (two to three days).
- Elevate your head for the first three nights and sleep on your back if possible (five nights).
- Cleanse and dry your face carefully, without rubbing (five days).
- Be careful when applying makeup or shaving (five days).
- Avoid natural or artificial sunlight (two weeks).
- Refrain from having massages or facial treatments (three weeks).
- Refrain from exercise, especially contact sports (three weeks).
- Do not visit a sauna or steam bath (three weeks).
- Do not undergo dental treatment (three weeks).
- Avoid making exaggerated or excessive facial movements when chewing, speaking, yawning, etc. (three weeks).
